Personal Statement
I was born in Vietnam and moved to America when I was two. My dad's family moved to America with absolutely nothing. Growing up my dad taught me that nothing is given to you and that you earn everything through hard work and dedication. My parents growing up did not have the same opportunities as me, and I am very fortunate to have such hard working parents. School comes very easy to me because I love to learn. Learning new things always makes me feel invincible. Sports has always been a big part of my life. My dad and I love watching Lakers basketball and soccer. Soccer has always been my favorite sport growing up. Being a goalkeeper is very challenging and mentally straining, but that's what the best part about it is. Getting the adrenaline rush when you make a save that saved the game for your team is one of the best feelings in the world, and when your teammate scores is another great feeling.
