Personal Statement
My name is Gladys Gedeus and I am a senior in high school. I've been playing basketball since middle school and I was on varsity my freshman year of high school in Sasebo, Japan. Since I am a military child, I move around a lot so moving back to the states was difficult especially after living in Japan for 5 years. It was also a difficult transition for basketball since everyone knew each other and I had no confidence. I am moving back to Japan during my senior year but to Yokosuka, Japan. My senior year basketball season might get canceled but if COVID-19 isn't bad then I am going to join a Japanese basketball team to improve my skills and speed.
